really?

Today I was pointed in the direction of a blog that's sole existence  is as a place for people to bash another MB.

Really? have people got so little to do that this is their entertainment? What if all those folks went outside and found something productive to do, OR what if they donated their time to any number of worthy causes....

really, what if they just stopped feeding on the hate?

  1. Not sure what MB is but I just got all bitchy on-line today and I'm sorry. Seeing your vox made me feel the need to mea culpa again. :(You're right. People can just walk away. An entire forum set up for anger is weird but I'm in no position to complain...at least today!

  2. MB = message boardIts one thing to vent occasionally, and really getting angry is normal. It's part of interacting with other imho. (been there done that, gotten bitchy) But to just feed repeatedly on the hate is kind of sad and sick, and that is what these folks are doing.

  3. I see what you mean. It's totally true, too: Anger feeds anger. You can't beat someone happy. Even if you think you feel better for "beating" someone, you will not, unless you're a sociopath. What I did? Oh, forget it. For the moment of venting, I'm beating myself up. So not worth it.It reminds me of the people who get off on watching Springer or shows like it. I don't miss seeing the commercials!

  4. I don't get it, and I suppose the fact that I can't wrap my head around it is a good thing. I like to think that anyway!

  5. "It reminds me of the people who get off on watching Springer or shows like it. I don't miss seeing the commercials!"Now that you say that, yes, very much so. Or People's Court, or Cops, or..... yeah....

  6. Bashing seems to be a good way of taking your mind off of your own troubles - or so classic psychology goes. Hate does that. Can't concentrate on anything else. What an odd way to avoid facing yourself.

  7. I didn't know what "MB" was either, thanks for the lingo update. I suppose people need a place to share their interests, even if the interests are blatantly against some other service. Unfortunately, this is why a lot of niche hate groups were formed.

  9. no problem with the lingo update! I'm usually the last to know about those ;)"this is why a lot of niche hate groups were formed."I suppose that is true, and I guess as a society I'd like to think we are past that.. but apparently not.

  10. I used to think we were past it, but no, we aren't. All we can do is try to be better than all of that.
