... sure....

I play a not wordle game daily, and I think it may be a smart ass...

Last night I took a friend to the emergency room, as the pain she described to me sounded like better get it checked out by real medical professionals and not doctor google pain. I stayed with. As midnight rolled around all the daily games reset, so I went ahead and played them.

This was my not wordle.

Maybe it knew I'd be rolling in at 445am?

(Friend is fine, has a kidney stone)

DITL

This is a full 30 minutes into the day. After I woke up in a panic, realizing the husband didn't get up and leave by 5am like he said he needed to. Plans changed, he didn't work until later. Nothing like a little panic to wake you up.

The first order of business is always to let the dogs out, Belle is up anytime anyone else is up. She's your typical Border Collie, if you are going outside she is, too.
Gypsy is older, we affectionately refer to her as the poo machine.  She poops in her sleep often, and many mornings it's struggle to get her up and out the door before she goes.

After the dogs have been out, it's coffee time. I coffee before I feed the cats and dogs, if I feed them first Murray develops the habit of standing on me at 4am and screaming for breakfast.
He's cute, but no thank you.

The princess helps with the coffee maker. Really she is just in it for the cream froth.

Even though I don't feed everyone right away, I do fill the water.  I do scrape the orange off the dish every couple of weeks. It's a losing battle and today, I don't care.
This is the state of my kitchen window. I need to pot several of these outside.

I park on the couch to drink my coffee and play wordle, and heardle, and do a duolingo lesson.
Appropriate. Time to feed the hoard. In addition to Belle and Gypsy, we have four cats indoors. The oldest, Shadow TL ( a.k.a.Miss Kitty), Murray TR, his sister Shnoodle LL, and the Princess LR (given name Shark).

While they eat, so do I, strawberry rhubarb yogurt for breakfast, it's my favorite, and really who doesn't love a good cow pun??

Once everyone is done with breakfast, it time to throw in a load of laundry, bras in cages. And check on the the youngest chickens. They aren't old enough to bunk with the adults hens, and they just have started going outside in a triangle pen. Today they won't go out due to heat concerns.

While I was preparing chicken feeders, a couple friends dropped by. One moved two years ago to care for a family member, and was back for a visit. The other just had surgery. Due the pandemic, I have not seen either one enough in the last two years. They kidnapped me for lunch.

It was awesome. The companionship and the food.
The Chinese Buffet also has the most fabulous carved dividers.
My friend also brought me a present.
Isn't he cute!!!

Once home it was "popsicle" time for the chickens. Popsicles are frozen fruits and veggies that im not going to use or that might be a bit freezer burnt. When I exit the basement door the girls come running to see that treats I have for them.

On my way back to the house I peek in ton the garage kittens.
Who are hot and tired.

And I visit the mulberry tree for a snack, and a chat with a firefly.

Before I sit down for a few minutes, I make a new jar of tea.

My seat is pre-warmed for a nap.
I may or may not have fallen asleep at this point. I napped until Jeopardy. After Jeopardy, I went to my God-son's baseball game with the camera in tow.
during the game I sat with my god-son's older brother and after the win I collected my sweaty baseball hugs before heading home for chores.

Chickens get locked up tight in their houses. There is always a straggler or two at bedtime. Surprisingly, tonight it's Peggy.

After the chickens are secure the Knight and MJ need to be put away.
They spend about half their time in a drylot, because they can and will over eat if given access to grass 24/7

Someone has knocked down the gate...

They don't look suspicious at all, do they?it's a heavy gate, so it will have to wait for the husband to fix it.

It's sunset appreciation time.

And with the chickens locked up it's time to feed the farm kitties again. And tonight it's also an opportunity to take kitten portraits.

Dang they are cute. And so cuddly.

I got in a nice Belle portrait, too.
We fed the little littles at the house.
While she watches the little void kitten, the little grey kitten sneaks up on her.
The fireflies are out in abundance.
Back in the house I feed the indoor hoard again, and sit down with the TV, and a book.

that's new....

I thought it was a bumblebee eating another insect, but from the side I'm not at all sure it is a bumblebee that flat abdomen is very un-bumble-like.

spoiled girl.

Went to run errands, took Belle through the Culver's Drive through for a pup cup, and lemonade for me. She was terribly offended when I didn't share the lemonade.

il ragno mangia una mosca

I haven't learned much Italian yet....  but I can say the spider eats a fly. Il ragno mangia una mosca.
I shooed him off the counter to eat his snack. I hope he'll eat a few more. Husband also saw him. And didn't kill him.

mom, I'm stuck!!!

I couldn't do this on purpose if I tried......
