a bit ridiculous
I'm in facebook jail again. Generally, I don't argue with people, and I'm on FB to keep up with my friends and be in a few groups to learn things. Like growing citrus trees in pots. I've learned that I'm not very good at that....
So, a bit over a month ago someone posted a meme or question that was something about "what would you if (someone was threatening you or your loved ones)?" I canr remember exactly what it said. And I responded that
As in I'd defend myself or loved ones.
I got jailed. I shared the screen shot of the restriction on fb when it happened because jail was no "go live" or "advertising" for 30 days and I tried to do a live video the chickens or the kittens and I couldn't. That post flew under the fb radar apparently.
So on a friend's post yesterday about being in fb jail for posting a meme about how women of a certain age are done with b.s. and commenting about burning stuff to the ground, I shared that screen shot again. Apparently the fb bots can not read the screen shots. They still don't know context but they can pick out single words and jail you for using them.
By all means, let's put the artificial intelligence in charge, what could possibly go wrong?

New hobby
There is a basic range of 14 colors, 6 sparkle colors and the creator also makes metallic concept colors. The metallics come and go.
At any rate, I got a free piece of furniture from a friend, and after determining what parts would sand and what would not, I was off. I sanded the top and drawer fronts.

And then it started to rain. I have no place inside to work on this type of project.
It rained. And rained. And rained.
And then it was humid. Stupid humid.
So. Finally. Two weeks later, got to work on this again. I must have been in a bluer mood, because it is bluer than before.
But I did get the paint done and a spray of oil based sealer. Oil based seal first, because the SPiT is water based. Now it needs a few coats of water based sealer. But it's mostly done.

Bad Blogger
I want to be better at it, sorta. But really every new social site that has bloomed since I started a blog and was only active on a few message board style communities some, not quite, 20 years ago? has just split my attention and given me virtual exhaustion.
I remember when we (the big WE) used email like letter writing, and actually had conversations via email.
Real conversations.
Not just a couple words. Not just an attachment. Not just the daily ads.
It makes me sad. It makes me nostalgic.
It makes me long for the days when sitting on the couch with pen and paper would result in a small stack of letters cranked out to a few friends.
Technology is great. But it isn't.

Little things...
Tonight I was watching Frasier, the episode Something Borrowed, Something Blue pt 1 Daphne has learned Niles has feelings for her, and has just come to the realization that she has feelings for Niles.
She and Frasier are discussing her telling Niles in the elevator. (In front of a neighbor, who Frasier chastises, telling her not to act like she isnt listening.) Then Niles returns, married to Mel, he tells Martin. In a flurry of activity Frasier and Martin end up back in the elevator, discussing Niles being married, in front of that same neighbor, whose reaction is a sympathetic, "oh, poor Daphne".
Frasier bursts back into the apartment, to interrupt Daphne's confession to the now married Niles. Martin returns, and so does Mel. Who proclaims for all that they are married. Devastating Daphne. Who holds her emotions in check long enough to make a gracious exit. Only to breakdown in front of the elevator doors, that open with the same neighbor still on the elevator. The neighbor promptly sets down her laundry badket and opens her arms to the weeping Daphne.
That gesture, that small gesture of literally being there to catch someone as they fall, it moves me to tears everytime I see the episode. Every. Time.

Blogging from the new phone.
I've joined the smart phone revolution. I can now blog from anywhere. It sounds exciting, but in reality I'm on the couch. HA!

Congratulations it's a Boy!
and a Girl and a Boy and a Girl and a Girl and a Girl...
Just 4 weeks ago one of the farm cats had six babies. A week and a half ago on Wednesday night she took off at dusk to go hunting, she never returned.I am now the proud nursemaid of these guys and girls.
They are quite a handful. With the exception of a 7 or 8 hour stretch most nights where they sleep through the night, it's like having a newborn again. Except I'm buying expensive canisters of formula rather than being able to breastfeed. But there is still "diaper" duty, because they are just learning to go potty without assistance. And they soil their bed, so they make a ton of extra. laundry. All my old towels have been pressed into service.
Pretty soon they will be introduced to the litter box and the green grass outside and solid food!
